Rosa's recipes. Marisol's window.
Rosa and Chuy Esparza opened Taquería Dos Soles in 2004 with one comal, a borrowed tortilla press and a menu you could read from the street. Rosa still writes the morning board. Their daughter Marisol runs the window, the catering and the line that forms before sunrise. The tortillas are pressed at five. The barbacoa goes in the pit Friday night. Nothing comes off a truck ready-made.

What the line says.
Rated 4.9 stars across 2,300+ reviews. These are three of them.
“Chorizo and egg at 6:15 and I'm at my desk by 7. The line looks long and it isn't.”
Danny, Southtown
“Marisol did forty dozen for our office and texted me a photo when they left the kitchen.”
Priscilla, Alamo Heights
“The salsa bar alone. Six salsas, and the green one is dangerous.”
Marcus, Lavaca

Can I call in an order?
Yes. Call or text (210) 555-0147 and we'll have it at window two. Online orders go the same way: send it, we text you, you pull up.
How early does the line start?
The window opens at 6am and the first cars are usually there at 5:50. Weekdays it moves about four minutes a car. On barbacoa weekends, come before 9 or order ahead.
Anything vegetarian?
Bean and cheese, potato and egg, and a nopal-and-cheese taco by request any time. Every salsa on the bar is vegetarian. The refried beans are made with lard — ask for whole beans.
How much notice for catering?
48 hours for trays. For forty dozen or more, give us the week. Pickup is free; delivery inside Loop 410 is $15.
Where do I park?
The lot out front holds twelve cars. The drive-through lane wraps the building, so please don't park in it. Street parking on the side street is free.
Look for the pink wall.
